Pathology

Pathology  is the medical science - and specialty practice - that is concerned with virtually all aspects of disease, including the essential  nature, cause, process and development of disease, as well as the abnormal structural (anatomical, cellular, molecular) and functional  manifestations of disease.

This  website contains documents primarily for medical education in human pathology in the categories of Neoplasia (Oncology/Cancer);  Immunopathology (Hypersensitivity, Autoimmune, Immune-Complex  Disorders, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) and Amyloidosis;Joint  (Rheumatic) Disorders; Bone (Orthopedic) Disorders; and HIV/AIDS.

Updates 2006: Neoplasia Update, 2006, Molecular Biology/Pathology; Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) Update, 2006, Molecular Targets of Therapy; Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) Update, 2006; Osteoporosis (Bone/Metabolic Disease) Update, 2006

These documents were  originally authored (and updated) by me for use at the Cornell  University Medical College in earlier revisions of the curriculum  and for posting on the educational website of that institution.  Permission on behalf of the Medical College was recently received  for my use and posting of these documents on other non-for-profit  educational websites, as done herewith.
